Welcome

Welcome to the Geospatial Analysis for Environmental Change Lab. We are a group of dynamic geospatial scientists working on quantifying space time patterns of environmental change using remote sensing, spatial analysis and graph theory at sub-continental to continental scale.

Current projects focus on surface water and vegetation dynamics, vegetation health and networks.

Our proudly diverse team, with representation from Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, Germany & Australia, consists of 2 full time researchers, 3 doctoral students, various support staff and interns. Our personal expertise in different geographic regions and fields fosters a supportive environment for the lab to participate in international discussions of environmental change. Diversity in scientific research encourages specialisation, critical thinking and impartialness, allowing the members of our lab to approach challenges in numerous ways and without bias.

For more information on our current research please read the Research and Projects page. We are based in the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. We encourage prospective students and post-docs to read our Opportunities page and to contact us after familiarising themselves with our general areas of work and expertise.
