Mirela and Mark gave talks at the largest earth science meeting, the AGU Fall meeting, attended by 26,000 researchers.
Mirela gave a talk on “Spatiotemporal Dynamics and Trends in Surface Water and Flooding Extent from Three Decades of Seasonally Continuous Landsat Time Series at Subcontinental Scale: Product Development and Applications”, and was invovled in a poster presentation titled "Monitoring Trends in Productivity to Identify Vulnerable Ecosystems: Measuring Ecosystem Condition and Drought Resistance Across California Ecosystems"
Mark gave a talk on “Using remote sensing time series to model the impact of changing flooding regimes on riparian vegetation in Australia’s most important river basin”, which was featured by NASA’s Landsat Science News.
Mirela also organized and chaired a well-attended session entitled “Remote Sensing Applications for Water Resources Management, Including Irrigation, Droughts, Floods, and Associated Water Cycle Extremes”
