Mirela and Mark recently travelled to the United States to attend several conferences, including the US Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology Meeting (US-IALE) in Baltimore, Maryland. This regional meeting focused on People, Places, Patterns: Linking Landscape Heterogenity and Socio-Environmental Systems. Mirela and Mark presented their research on surface water dynamics of the Murray Darling Basin, which you can read about in an abstract form here. This was presented as part of a symposia session about connectivity across aquatic networks and how this is impacted by land use and climate change.
