Mark and Mirela Present to NASA's LCLUC Science Team

The Land-Cover/Land-Use Change (LCLUC) Science program forms one of many research teams directed by the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA). This interdisciplinary team focuses on bringing awarness of ongoing monitoring projects and science results to the larger administration and to the general public through annual meetings held across the globe for both NASA sciencists and international research groups. Both Mark and Mirela attended the most recent meeting in Rockville, Maryland to present in a poster session the recent results from our lab which rely heavily on the Landsat Program (NASA/USGS funded). Mirela presented her work on identifying surface water dynamics and their applications, while Mark showed off his results modelling vegetation response to flloding events. Both of these topics relied utilised the Landsat Archive, a freely available resource that can be accessed here
